Mnangagwa Causes Stir As He Hires THREE Private Jets In One Week |
For his trip to South Africa yesterday, the President hired an Airbus A319-119CJ Elite all the way from the United Arab Emirates. Mnangagwa is in South Africa for a SADC Solidarity Conference on Western Sahara.
This comes a few days after Mnangagwa hired another plane also from the United Arab Emirates to fly him to Bulawayo and back.

The Airbus A318-112(CJ) Elite private jet with registration A6-CAS was hired at an estimated cost of US$200,000 based on the plane’s US$12,500 hourly rate.
After flying to Bulawayo and back to Harare, the plane promptly returned to Dubai.
According to Zimlive, Mnangagwa used a smaller aircraft, believed to be a Dassault Falcon 900B, for a trip to Angola. Mnangagwa’s spokesperson George Charamba has said that the President will continue hiring private jets until the country gets him a presidential jet or until struggling national airline Air Zimbabwe has more planes. - iHarare
