Zim dancehall queen, Lady Squanda has now changed her name to Madzimai Lady Squanda and she is now a member of the Johanne Masowe Yechishanu Apostolic sect.
Madzimai Lady Squanda is now under the tutelage of Madzibaba Spenlodge Madenyika in Lusaka, Highfields.In an interview with Hmetro, Madzimai Lady Squanda confirmed she was a born again Christian and is now recording a gospel album
“My past is not that rosy but I’m working on my present and my future.
I have been involved in controversy but I’m burying everything for my future. I’m not even ashamed of going kuMasowe because kwese kuna Mwari.She said ever since she started going to church her life has changed for the better.
“Zvinhu zvangu zviri kufamba (Things are going well for me) and it’s my time to shine.
I’m not leaving Zim dancehall but my songs will be more gospel from now on.
I was lost in the dark but now I’ve seen the light.Madzibaba Spenlodge promised to support Lady Squanda .
“I will try by all means to make her realize her goals” he said
